Career
Catherine was admitted as a lawyer in 2012 in South Australia. Catherine moved to the Northern Territory in 2013 to take up the role of Associate to His Honour Justice Peter Barr of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory. Having promptly fallen in love with the Northern Territory Catherine commenced her career at Maleys Barristers & Solicitors where she developed a knowledge of the unique Criminal Law jurisprudence of the Northern Territory.
Catherine subsequently worked for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Katherine NT, the Northern Territory Legal Aid Commission in Darwin and Aboriginal Legal Aid services in Alice Springs and Port Augusta.
Catherine was called to the Bar in South Australia in 2022 and graduated from the South Australian Bar Association’s readers’ course in May 2023. The readers’ course incorporated Advance Trial Advocacy training with the Australian Bar Association.
Catherine has previously served as a committee member of the Criminal Lawyers Association of the Northern Territory. She is presently secretary of the South Australian Bar Association’s Criminal Law Committee.
Catherine relishes opportunities to return to her second home; the Northern Territory.
