Career

Prior to coming to the law, Simon had gained over 15 years of experience in Financial Markets (Commodities and Futures) as a broker and trader particularly specialising in the Australian Electricity markets (both physical and derivative).

After completing his studies, Simon undertook a placement at the NSW Public Defenders Office obtaining a wide exposure to criminal matters and since then has focused on his area of law.

Simon has worked the Legal Aid NSW (in the Family and Criminal Law divisions), a suburban private practice specialising in criminal law and on relocating to Darwin worked for the Office of the Northern Territory DPP as a Prosecutor spending time in both Summary and Crown practice areas.

In March 2021, Simon was called to the Bar.
